Terms and Conditions

1. Order Confirmation and Modifications

Please double-check the sizes and shipping address in your cart before completing your order. Once your order has begun processing, no modifications or additions can be made. Orders that are already being prepared for shipment cannot be canceled.


2. Shipping Responsibility

Heart & Hive Designs is not responsible for any packages once they have been handed over to the shipping carrier. Once shipped, the buyer assumes all responsibility for any lost, stolen, or returned packages. In the rare case of a shipping carrier failure, please contact the carrier directly with any concerns.


3. Pet-Friendly Workshop

Please note that our products are made in a pet-friendly environment. While we take every precaution to ensure cleanliness, those with severe pet allergies should be mindful when making a purchase.


4. Intellectual Property

All designs and content on our website are the intellectual property of Heart & Hive Designs. Reproducing any of our designs constitutes a direct infringement of International Copyright Law. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.


5. Custom Designs

At Heart & Hive Designs, we invite you to share your design ideas with us, and we'll explore what's possible! The cost of custom designs will depend on the complexity and the time required to create the design. If you want designs on both the front and back of the apparel, please note that additional charges will apply.

If you already have a custom design, we're eager to print it on apparel for you. For inquiries regarding custom design pricing and options, please contact us at hello@heartandhivedesigns.com.

Important Note:
Heart & Hive Designs retains all rights to custom designs. We reserve the right to make any custom design available to the public at our discretion. If this happens, the charges for the custom work will not be reimbursed.


6. Incorrect or Damaged Items

If you receive an incorrect or damaged item, please notify us within 3 days of receipt. We will arrange to send the correct item or provide a resolution. To assist us in processing, please email us at hello@heartandhivedesigns.com with photos of the damaged or incorrect item.

  • If the mistake is on our end, we will cover the return shipping costs.
  • If the item is returned due to reasons other than our error, the customer will be responsible for shipping costs.

Items must be postmarked no later than 7 days after you received the order. If the item does not meet our return policy, it will be donated, and no refund or exchange will be issued.


7. Shipping and Processing Times

As a small, woman-owned business, each item is crafted by hand with attention to detail. Please allow 7 to 15 days for production and shipping of your order. We appreciate your support of our small business and your patience during this time. Rest assured, the wait will be worth it!


8. Exchange Policy

We accept exchanges within 7 days of receiving your item. To be eligible for an exchange, the item must be in its original condition—unworn, unused, and unwashed. Please note that custom orders, sale items, and gift cards are not eligible for exchanges.

How to Request an Exchange:
To initiate an exchange, please email us at hello@heartandhivedesigns.com to request the return address. Upon receipt of the returned item, we will issue a gift card equal to the item's price, minus any shipping costs (if applicable). The gift card will be emailed and can be used for any future purchase on our website.

Items returned in a worn or washed condition will be donated, and no gift card will be provided.

Packing Slip Requirement:
Please include the original packing slip with your return or exchange, clearly indicating whether you are requesting a return or exchange. This will help expedite the process.

Important Deadlines:
Exchanges must be received within 9 days from the date of receipt of your package. Any items received after this period will be returned to the sender.

Processing Time:
Please allow up to 7 business days for us to process your exchange. You will receive an email confirmation once your gift card has been issued.


9. Refund and Return Policy

We offer a 7-day return policy (including weekends). Returns must be initiated within 7 days of receiving your item.

Custom Orders:
Returns for custom orders are NOT ACCEPTED. All sales on custom orders are final.

Sale Items & Gift Cards:
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Return Eligibility:
Items must be in the same condition as when received—unworn, unused, and unwashed. Items not meeting these conditions will be donated, and no refund will be issued. Proof of purchase (receipt or packing slip) is required for all returns and exchanges.

Packing Slip Requirement:
Please include the original packing slip with your return, clearly indicating whether you are requesting a return or exchange. This will help expedite the process.

How to Start a Return:
To initiate a return, contact us at hello@heartandhivedesigns.com. We will provide a return address once your return is approved. Please note that customers are responsible for purchasing return shipping labels unless the return is due to our error.

10. Limitation of Liability

Heart & Hive Designs is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages that result from the use of our products or the inability to use our products. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses arising out of or related to your use of our products or services.


11. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. When you make a purchase from Heart & Hive Designs, we collect personal information such as your name, shipping address, and email. This information is used solely for order processing and shipping purposes. We do not share, sell, or distribute your information to any third parties, except as necessary to complete your transaction (such as providing information to the shipping carrier).

12. Sales Tax

Heart & Hive Designs complies with Virginia state law and collects sales tax on orders shipped to customers within the state. The sales tax rate will be applied during checkout.


13. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of these terms will be resolved in Virginia state or federal courts.
